A New Dawn

There's a new day dawning in the dynamics of Second Life groups. SL4 is a total group experience. It isn't just for fashions or building stuff, and it definitely is not for role play. SL4 is a group which furnishes a place to "be." Yes, there are designer showrooms, but there are also places simply to be with others in the group, to chat, to play games, to take pics, to share ideas and so many more things to do. SL4 is different... and I'll share more soon about this unique new experience in SL and its creator, the man whose brainchild has come to life... Dakota Xavorin.

I know my picture above is rather crazy-colored, but I am so excited that I wanted the dawning of a new day to be shown literally in the colors of dawn. (Call me crazy!)

Denim Gone Wild!

I'm so excited about this dress and all that comes with it! 

G-DUBS Closet presents Denim Gone Wild!

Whoever thought you could pair denim with animal print?

But look! It works so well!

These adorable boots and bag come with the dress. 

I love how the boots fit, and what fun to carry such an adorable bag.

Even the seagull is wowed by my whole ensemble!

I couldn't help just standing and looking off into the sunset on this beautiful sim. The Breakers (now called Breakers Islands) is residential and has such things as movies, book clubs, events and much more for the residents.

This stylish outfit also comes with a fluffy jacket, just in case you get cool on these autumn evenings. Here I'm walking on the pier of Breakers Islands enjoying the beautiful play of colors on the water and sky.

Happy Kaleidoscope Day!

I can't wait to tell you about this wonderful Sabra Style dress just in time for early fall. The photos were taken on the very beautiful residential sim called The Breakers.

Isn't this dress adorable? And the hat! I love hats! This one sports a kaleidoscope of butterflies (yes, that's what a group of butterflies is called).

Here you can see those cute butterflies better. Oh, yes, I was also playing around with the windlight settings. No telling what I'll do next!

Don't you love the way the dress is styled? Kylie Sabra did a great job with the ruffled hem of the skirt. I love how it dips low in back, and yet in front, those legs you were born with are out there in all their glory.

See what I mean about the skirt? Just love that. Oh, and doesn't The Breakers sim look absolutely glorious in its autumn dressing. And see that beautiful way the water reflects the colors of the trees. I do love this sim.

Graveyard Woes

Oh no!

Trapped in the Crypt!

It was a dark night and stormy night ... well, it was dark.  My adventuresome spirit led me to explore a cemetery in that oh so haunted state of Louisiana.

But first I dressed the part, donning the outfit I'd put together for Halloween.

Imagine my surprise when I barely touched the door to a crypt, and the stones creaked and moaned and slowly opened to reveal the insides.  My eyes bugged out as I strained to see into the darkness within ... until the moon emerged from behind a tree to illuminate the casket.  Only a decorative iron gate kept me out, but it, too, swung open at a touch.  Voila!  I was in!

Oh, was I in!

Try as I might, the gate would not open again.  I was trapped ... in a crypt ... at night ... with a casket!

After a few panicked moments, I calmed myself down and settled into meditation ... or tried to.  Every little creak and whisper of breeze sent me glancing over my shoulder to make sure that casket was not opening.

Yes, I finally was released from my tomb by a kindly caretaker who arrived at dawn.

And yes!  I learned my lesson!

Never go alone into a graveyard at night or you might be like I was:

suffering from those graveyard woes!

Robbing the Closet

What can I say about G-DUBS Closet, my new modeling employer .. except that I think it's a good fit? Just like this outfit. The jeans and jacket are both adorable and embellished with special details.

I love the back of the jacket and the design there. Isn't that lovely! And the collar and cuffs. Such cute trimmings to the leather.

What I did not choose to wear, but which shows on the vendor board, is the matching shoulder bag. G-DUBS outfits have such nice accessories!

The Way to a Woman's Heart: Pure Poison

.::Pure Poison::. designer Shaleene Kenin wows me with her unique and beautiful creations. This dress is just one of them.

What can i say about the dress? Just wow! Black Liquid Gown lives up to its name and fits like a black sheeting of water flowing down the body. I feel like a beautifully gowned seal just waiting for a pat on the head!

You all know I love Avant Garde, and this dress and its accessories give a teeny little hint of that styling while staying true to Haute Couture.

The neckpiece and earrings also hail from .::Pure Poison::. and match so perfectly that I wonder if the designer created them with the dress in mind.

I paired some .::Pure Poison::. shoes, as well, to complete my tribute to designer Shaleene Kenin. Jasmine Sandals give their own special look to this sensual outfit.

I'm sure I will find many more lovely and edgy things at Pure Poison that I can blog about and enjoy wearing. For now, you really should go take a look around the store. So many great buys!
